POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

TUITION
1. All payments are processed by pre-authorized credit cards or auto-draft from checking accounts on the 1st of each month. Tuition is never prorated for missed lessons. Tuition does not include any retail teaching materials such as books or instruments.
CANCELLATIONS AND MAKEUPS

2. For any lessons missed by a teacher, Upbeat Music will attempt to provide a substitute teacher. If a substitute teacher is unavailable, a private make-up lesson with the teacher will be scheduled at the teacher‘s discretion. For any lesson missed by a student, the teacher will determine if and when a make-up will be scheduled and may be in-person or online depending on each teacher’s availability. Teachers may have their own policies regarding how and when they provide make-up lessons.

DISCONTINUING LESSONS

3. To discontinue lessons and to discontinue charges to your account, fill out the withdrawal form before the 15th of your last month. We do not prorate tuition for the last month of lessons. Students will be responsible for their last month’s tuition whether or not they attend lessons.

AVERAGE OF FOUR LESSONS PER MONTH

4. Monthly tuition is based on a 48 week year. The monthly charge is for four lessons but the four lessons may not occur in the same month. See the calendar included with the registration packet for more details. We are closed four weeks a year for holidays. You will not be charged for lessons when we‘re closed.

CARE OF STUDENTS
5. Upbeat Music is not responsible for providing before or after care for students. Parents with children under the age of five must remain in the school lobby during the lessons. Students are not to be left at the school for more than 15 minutes before or after their lessons.

OPEN DOOR POLICY

6. Parents are always allowed to sit in on lessons. We have an open door policy for lessons.

PICKING UP
7. Children must wait for their parents to pick them up inside Upbeat Music. Please do not ask them to meet you elsewhere. Upbeat Music assumes no responsibility for children who leave unaccompanied.
COLLECTION FEES

8. Parent/guardian or adult student agrees to pay legal fees, collection fees or any other fees needed if it is necessary to employ these services for unpaid tuition payments.
